Why we love Jessica Hische

I’ve been enamored with her work since I read her article in Print magazine.

The craftsmanship and frivolity of her work is inspiring. Her tatent is incredible. I can’t believe she’s only 24. From what she’s achieved so far in her career, I will be amazed by what she can accomplish in the future.

I work at a newspaper and that does not allow for such craftmanship and design for projects. For instance, yesterday I had to create a 16-page section in one day. It looks good but it’s not perfect or charming like her work. I can only aspire to her design…. someday when I have more time.  

Amazing inspirational site

What a great website. It reminds me of when I used to go to the International Aspen Design Conference (before it became AIGA) The speakers were remarkable and inspirational. As a print designer, I truly believe you can get inspirational ideas from outside of the design world. Fashion, architecture, product design, and sociology have always interested me in finding new, creative ideas. This site, is a wealth of information and it’s free. The internet is a wonderful place….Sigh….

Very useful site for browsing web type and grabbing CSS styles

This site is very useful for visualizing web fonts and being able to grab the CSS coding. It nice to also see the difference between Windows and Mac display.

Yay! I’m back. Sorry for the long hiatus. I was buried with work, crafts and the holidays. It’s a fresh start to a New Year and I plan on posting a ton. (How much does a post weight?)
